On behalf of First Christian
Church (Disciples of Christ) in Watkinsville, Georgia, I want to welcome
you to our little corner of cyber-space, and invite you to take some time
to learn more about who we are, and most importantly who God has called
us to be. I also wish to invite you to join us in worship,
if you ever find yourself in the Oconee County or Athens area.
First Christian Church is a warm and welcoming congregation located on the corner of Simonton Bridge Road and Main Street in downtown Watkinsville. We are entering into our second century of service and ministry, and we are fully committed to serving the needs of people not only in our surrounding community, but also "to the ends of the earth." Our major emphasis in ministry over the past several years have been with our youth, music, and outreach ministries. We offer many opportunities for you to find your calling in Christian service and discipleship.
