![]() Reverend Doug Ivey Doug Ivey was born and raised in Athens, and is the son of Hazel W. Ivey and the late Marion C. Ivey, Sr. He has been married to the former Angela Zeigler of Rincon, Georgia, for almost 36 years. They have 3 grown children and three grandchildren. Their eldest son Marshall is a Pediatrician practicing in Milledgeville, GA.; daughter Olivia is the law Librarian at the Department of Labor in Washington, DC, and their son Teddy is an educator at the Georgia Sea Turtle on Jekyll Island. Doug is an20 year veteran of ministry, and has served three churches as well as working as a family counselor with The Potter's House, a Christian drug and alcohol rehabilitation center for men. Doug holds a Bachelor’s degree in Child and Family Development, and a Master’s degree in clinical Social Work; both from the University of Georgia, and has experience as a Family Therapist. He also holds a Master’s degree in Divinity from Mercer University’s McAfee School of Theology.
